BANDARI & MWENGE – SERVICE PROJECT

Jambo family and friends,

It was fun meeting the travel team at the airport yesterday and doing a send-off as they began their 30-hour journey to eastern Kenya.   They have a short layover in London, and then should land in Mombasa this evening our time.  Burt and the 2 travelers from Hawaii, representing Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, will meet them there.  It will probably take until tomorrow before we get an update on their long excursion and the adventures awaiting them.  Their first day in Mwenge will be the painting of the mural and the handoff of the new school.  There will be lots of dancing, singing, and celebrating.
